The Process
Each finish is created by hand start to finish. Surfaces are prepared for the desired look and the paints
are applied using brushes, not rollers. A clear topcoat is applied in the end to protect the finish
of the piece. Resurrection Furniture offers two distinct finishes, a peeled or distressed look.
The peeling technique is a two-color process that chips away the top color of paint to reveal the undercoat.
The distressing technique is a single color process that wears down the paint at the edges to reveal the wood.
The Resurrection Furniture Look
The look is a clean and modern take on vintage pieces. Virtually any piece of furniture can be updated,
resurrected and made new again through color. Each piece is painted and repainted in hot reds, soft whites,
moody greys and blacks, and is then peeled and chipped until the desired look is reached. Each piece becomes
a one of kind creation, a resurrection of what it once was.
A home works best when both new and antique pieces are brought together to commingle in a single space.
Mixing that perspective along with fun use of color combined with great design is the key to a successful room.
Signature & Custom Colors
Our color selection follows current trends based on classic and historic color. The Resurrection Furniture
line consists of modern takes on reds, browns, greys, blacks, and whites. Each color is custom or hand
blended to add to the unique charm of each piece.
When commissioning one of your existing pieces, Resurrection Furniture will match any swatch you provide
to customize your piece to your existing space. Home consultations are also available. Please contact
